Ikelite 200DL Deluxe Underwater Housing for Sony Alpha A7 III, A7R III & A9

The Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing provides a robust and fully featured solution for Sony Alpha A7 III, A7R III, and A9 mirrorless cameras. It is suitable for scuba diving, snorkelling, surf, the pool, and general water-based photography.

Housings manufactured from June 2023 onwards (serial number 78668 and higher) feature an M16 accessory port. Earlier models use a 1/2-20 accessory port; a modification is available to convert these to M16 for compatibility with the USB-C Charging & Data Transfer Bulkhead.

The Sony A7 III and A7R III feature USB-C ports and can utilise the USB-C Bulkhead. The Sony A9 does not include a USB-C port and is not compatible with this accessory.

Lens Compatibility

This housing uses the Ikelite DL (Dry Lock) port system and is compatible with DL ports. A correctly matched DL port is required for waterproof operation.

Pre-Dive Checks

Ikelite’s signature open-groove rear O-ring design keeps the O-ring in a natural, reliable position and allows easy visual confirmation of a proper seal once the housing is closed.

We recommend adding the optional Vacuum Kit with 1/2" Valve (#47012) to pull a vacuum and check for leaks before diving.

Construction

The specially formulated ABS-PC housing is extremely durable while remaining lighter than aluminium. Its light colour helps minimise internal heat when shooting in bright conditions.

Lens Support

Ikelite DL lens ports are lightweight yet robust, capable of handling surf and challenging conditions. A wide range of lenses is supported, and many popular zoom and focus rings can be controlled using simple gearing systems. Gear selection depends on your lens choice.

Wi-Fi Transfer

Use the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi to transfer images without removing the camera from the housing. Wi-Fi is usable only above water and within range of the connected device.

Compatibility

This housing does not accommodate add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or similar accessories. Differences in camera size and control layout prevent other camera models from being used or adapted.
