The Ikelite WD-3 Wide Angle Dome Port enhances underwater photography by providing a wider angle of coverage without the distorted edges or vignetting often found with standard wide-angle wet lenses. The lightweight design, at only 168g, makes it significantly easier to handle compared to traditional wet lenses. The WD-3 delivers sharp, edge-to-edge clarity for high-quality underwater images.
Installation
The WD-3 simply slides onto the standard port of an Ikelite housing without the need for modifications or replacements. It can also be removed and reattached underwater, offering flexibility in zoom and macro photography. Approximately three-quarters of the camera's zoom range can be used while the dome is in place, depending on the camera model.Design
Designed to correct the refractive magnification of a flat port, the WD-3 features a 0.75x conversion factor. This dome is compatible with any Ikelite housing that has a 3.0-inch diameter lens port. For specific compatibility, refer to the housing instruction manual.Performance
The WD-3 Dome is effective only underwater, requiring water between the back of the dome and the housing’s lens port to optimise the angle of coverage. When used for split shots (half-in, half-out of the water), two water lines will be visible—one in front of the dome and one behind.Specifications
