About the Housing

As with all Aquatica housings, the AZ8 is CNC machined from 6061 T6 aluminum, treated with MIL-A-8625 anodizing, and finished with a baked-on, super-tough powder coat. Control shafts and push buttons are crafted from T304 stainless steel, ensuring unmatched durability.

The housing supports both Z-mount lenses and F-mount lenses via the Nikon FTZ adapter, which can be removed without dismounting the camera. Lens releases for both mounts are integrated, and all camera functions are accessible from outside the housing.

All controls are spring-loaded and self-centering where needed. Installing the camera is quick and easy—just attach the mounting tray and slide it into the stainless steel guide rails.

The included Surveyor Vacuum System (valve and pump) adds an extra layer of protection, allowing you to confirm a watertight seal before entering the water.
